YSL made Facebook history last month when it became the first luxury beauty brand to sell a new and unique make up palette to its Facebook fans exclusively.
Only 1,650 palettes were available, and the 1,650 YSL Facebook fans who got there first received the palette along with a host of exclusive privileges, including information, perks and services in-store and on Facebook. The exclusive collector palette featured the identifiable Facebook blue combined with the luxurious Yves Saint Laurent design. Damien Vincent, commercial director of Facebook France, says: “We are honoured that a prestigious brand such as Yves Saint Laurent resumes Facebook colour codes to launch a unique product destined for its fans. This is a fitting tribute to a vibrant and passionate demonstration that Yves Saint Laurent is a modern and dynamic brand with consumers knowing the heart of its marketing strategy.”
