QVC UK has launched a free android app that gives customers on-the-go access to its full range of more than 15,000 products.
The app is similar to the brand’s iPhone app, which is now responsible for 5% of QVC sales. The new app gives customers the chance to purchase products using the Buy Now button, and features a streaming of the live channel, to give customers an insight into featured brands whenever, wherever. Commenting on the launch, Gina Deeble, director of multi-channel planning and commerce at QVC UK, says: “The success of our updated iPhone app, which has now been downloaded over 115,000 times, led to the development of the Android app. We’re confident customers with android phones will love being able to shop on-the-go.”
